the 90MB vs 600MB thing is nice, but is the export speedup mostly from the GPU path or from skipping electron overhead? curious how it holds up on a long 4k recording with the camera layer on.

Editing videos through Claude Code or Codex sounds really useful. Can ScreenKite apply the same editing instructions to multiple recordings in a batch, like removing silence, adding captions and exporting all videos without opening each project manually?
A native Mac screen recorder with GPU-accelerated export is a welcome alternative to heavier Electron-based tools. Link sharing and AI-assisted editing on top of that make it a well-rounded option for demos and tutorials.
That's an amazing idea, a video recorder with an MCP 👏🏻!!
Quick feedback: some examples of what you can do with AI on the landing page could help a lot, I think!
Yeah MCP & CLI saves tons of my video editing hours : ) ScreenKite also has a sister app targeting iMovie/CapCut. Will improve it before launch it : )

Great suggestion! Thanks a lot! Working on that! Already updated the first demo but I bet we'll need more demos for sure!
The MCP is a game changer for video editing tools!
Would be nice to see a demo video of it to see how it works and the results you can get.
Upvoted!
Thank you! We do have a demo video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysPI0_S6MNE
The next step is tutorial video.
We also updated the agent skills here so they can guide you to do the transcription cut / B-roll generation with hyperframes https://github.com/ScreenKite/awesome-ai-video-editing
