What Faylee does

What Faylee does

Bug reports usually arrive as a screenshot and "it's broken". Then the back-and-forth starts: which browser, which steps, what did the console say. Faylee records the bug with everything behind it, so nobody has to ask for more details.

Click the Faylee button in your browser and record the tab or your screen. Faylee keeps the console, every network request and each click and keystroke on the same timeline as the video, and shares it all as one link.

Hand the link to your coding agent. Connect Faylee's MCP server once, then paste the link into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. The agent reads the whole report: the video frame by frame, the console, every request and the steps. It finds the cause in your code, fixes it and, when you ask, comments on the recording at the moment it broke.

Everything a developer needs, in one link

  • The video, with your voice if you talk it through

  • Every network request, with the failing one already open. Copy it as cURL or download a HAR file

  • Console errors with their full stack

  • Every click and keystroke, written as steps to reproduce

  • The page rebuilt, so you can inspect any element at any moment

Catch the bug that already happened. Instant replay keeps the last few minutes of a tab on your machine. When something breaks, you save it after the fact. Nothing is uploaded until you share it.

Private by default. Secrets are redacted in the browser before anything is uploaded.

Fits where your team works. File the issue in Linear, Jira, GitHub and more, and post new reports to Slack.

Pricing. Free for up to 3 members and 30 recordings a month, with the MCP server included and no card needed. Team is $12 per member a month billed yearly, or $15 monthly, with a 14-day trial. Only people who record count as members. Viewers are always free.

Why I built Faylee

I made Faylee because I was tired of getting bug reports like "it doesn't work". Then I'd go back and forth with whoever reported it and wait, sometimes for a day, for them to send more details. A product person or a customer usually doesn't know how to open the dev tools and check the console or network tab, so even when they answered I often still didn't have what I needed. Every bug started with me trying to reproduce it.

And once I finally had the details, I had to explain them all over again to Claude Code, Cursor or Codex: copy the console error, paste the failing response, describe the steps, and hope I hadn't left anything out.

With Faylee, whoever finds the bug doesn't write anything up or need to know what to include. Two clicks to start recording, or one shortcut to save the last few minutes after the bug already happened, and Faylee captures the screen, the console, the network requests and the steps for them. I paste that one link into my coding agent, and it sees exactly what happened.

Bug reports a coding agent can actually use is a nice idea. Is there a way to scrub sensitive fields from the network capture?

Thank you!

Yes, it happens automatically, in the browser before anything is uploaded.
Auth headers and cookies are always hidden, and any field in a request or response body or query string that looks sensitive (password, token, secret, api key, card number and similar) becomes [redacted].

Admins can add their own fields and headers for the whole workspace, and the reporter can drop single requests or the whole network log before sharing.

Capturing video, console errors, network requests, and reproduction steps in one report is a great workflow for developers. When sharing a report with Claude Code or Codex through MCP, how does Faylee ensure sensitive data in request bodies and authentication tokens is completely redacted?

Thanks!
Short answer is secrets are hidden in the browser before anything is uploaded, so they never reach our servers, and an MCP agent can only read what was uploaded.

  • Headers like Authorization, Cookie, Set-Cookie and API keys are always hidden (you can configure it per environment).

  • In request and response bodies, query strings and console objects, any key that looks sensitive (password, secret, token, api key, session, card number, CVV, SSN and similar) is replaced with [redacted]. JWTs, Bearer/Basic credentials and user:password@ in URLs are caught anywhere in text.

  • Password, payment and one-time-code fields are masked in the video and the page replay, and so is anything a site marks with data-faylee-mask.

  • Admins can add their own headers and fields for the whole workspace, and before sharing, the reporter can remove the network or console data entirely, or individual requests.

Automatic rules can't recognize every piece of personal data, so for anything unusual it's worth adding your own rules.

Coming from QA, "which browser, which steps, what did the console say" is the exact back-and-forth that eats half a day. Keeping the console, network requests and every click on the same timeline as the video, in one link, removes most of it, and handing that link straight to a coding agent is a smart next step.

Yes, as a developer I know the feeling.
